Long before Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire, this message was already being proclaimed.
In 1 Corinthians 15:3–8, the Apostle Paul records the message he had received and passed on: that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose on the third day, and appeared to his followers. Written in the first century, this passage preserves one of the earliest recorded declarations of the Christian faith.
