The story behind the design: Love in Deed: Christian Care in Third-Century AlexandriaShipping & returns

About the design

In third-century Alexandria, during a devastating epidemic, Christians became known for their willingness to care for the sick, even at great personal cost.

Their actions were recorded by Dionysius of Alexandria and preserved in the writings of the early Church historian Eusebius. His account offers a moving picture of faith expressed not merely through words, but through compassion, service, and sacrifice.

Love in Deed honors this history through a vintage-inspired design featuring an olive branch, a water vessel, a basin, and a folded cloth—symbols of peace, care, and humble service.

The weathered, engraving-style artwork connects this ancient Christian testimony with the enduring message of 1 John 3:18: love should be demonstrated through action and truth.

More than a statement of belief, this design is a reminder that the Christian faith calls us to care for one another.

Historical inspiration: Dionysius of Alexandria, preserved in Eusebius, Church History 7.22.

Scripture: 1 John 3:18.
