About the design

In the second century, Polycarp served as bishop of Smyrna, a city in the Roman Empire. His story survives in The Martyrdom of Polycarp, an early Christian account that remembers his steadfast devotion to Christ, even when facing death.

But his story is about more than his final moments. When the men sent to arrest him arrived, the account describes Polycarp offering them food and drink before asking for time to pray. Even in the face of persecution, his faith was expressed through hospitality and compassion.

This hoodie honors that remarkable testimony with a vintage-inspired design. A simple cross and olive branch adorn the front, while the back features an engraved-style illustration inspired by the ancient Mediterranean world, accompanied by POLYCARP · SMYRNA · SECOND CENTURY.

A reminder that faithfulness is not defined by a single moment of courage, but by a lifetime of devotion to Christ.
